Depends on your needs
Anyone looking to purchase this bed is most likely looking to spend less and the cost is a main factor. As people are saying in the reviews you do get what you pay for.

The bed took about 2 hours to put together with 2 people. It came damaged (one of the boards that you lay the mattress on itself had a corner w/ particle board broken off), and there isn’t really anything you can do about it. The molding around the bed didn’t come with holes drilled into it, but it is soft so you have to force the screws into the molding itself, all the while from the bottom up (hardest part of putting it together). Some screws don’t screw in tightly to the base boards. The molding is only held on by about 6 screws on the very edge of a board, and putting any force on it at all bends it/break it.
Overall, you get what you pay for. It is made from cheap particle board for the most part, with visible unpainted/uncovered bits at certain places. However it does its job and looks decent. Spend a few extra dollars and buy a platform bed from a local furniture store instead so you don’t risk not being able to return damaged goods and can have a real look at it.

Instructions written by a retard……
This is a great value for a frame. I have been looking for a frame for a long time now but i didn’t want to spend lots of money on it.

I like this Platform bed a lot. It took a while for me to put together, only because the instructions say 2 people are needed for assembly, but knowing how I am, I proceeded to do it by myself. So for those of you who are concerned about putting it together by yourself (women especially, since I’m a woman), it can be done. It’s not necessarily hard, just time consuming (for one person) so make sure you have the time to put it together. I’ve been sleeping on it for about a month now. It really compliments the comfort of my mattress. I sleep great every night. It seems to be pretty sturdy too, so I’m not afraid that it might fall apart on me. There’s a 5 year warranty on it–not long–but I’m in a transition right now, so 5 years is about right for me. I recommend to buy this bed if you’re considering a nice, sleek, modern bed for a short period of time.

Exactly as described.
This bed is as described and pictured. It says you need two people but I opened the box and moved a few pieces at a time and was able to assemble it myself.

Anyone interested in this bed should know a few things. Is it a $1,000 sleigh bed? NO, so don’t expect it to be. Alot of the reviews I have read on Amazon as well as other sites complain that you need 2-3 people to assemble this bed. That is not true. It is true the package itself weighs well over 100 lbs. So if you are like me, open the box and take out a few pieces at a time. Seems pretty logical to me. Once items are in the room, assembly took about 45 minutes. Parts are all clearly labeled. I will agree with some reviews that the instructions could be better with some type of writing/words rather than just a picture. That being said, it is not very hard to look at the picture and say: oh, it should look like this, so I need part # 1 and part # 3, and they screw to part # 2.
So what I am getting at is this is a quality piece of furniture. Don’t be afraid to get this if you are the only one at home. Just because it weighs over 100 lbs doesn’t mean you have to throw it over your shoulder and carry it in the house. All in all, I am pleased with the purchase and would tell others not to hesitate on their purchase. It’s worth every penny. If you are looking for a $1,000 bed, you are looking in the wrong place.
Only issue I had was with the trip pieces. As other have noted, they are not pre drilled. All I did was take a center punch (you can even use one of the screws that comes with it), and put the trim where it will go, try to make a mark on it and pre drill the holes. I did this two rails. The third one I just pushed and it went right in.
I hope this helps some of you that are on the fence about buying this bed.

DOES THE JOB BUT IS BUILT EXTREMLY CHEAP
This bed is very flimsy and a pain to put together. When you get the box you think “No way the whole bed can fit in that box. But it does, its just in multiple pieces.

Good bed… needs minor structural improvements.
I think this is a good bed for the money. Its cheap, looks pretty darn good, is comfortable and low to the ground.

Nice but alittle confusing.
I bought this platform for my new memory foam mattress. It looks great but was a bit confusing to put together.

solid, but lip of platform a little hard to put together if you’re a woman and have no other adult help.
would have given it a five – as it is comfortable with a futon mattress on it… only problem was trying to screw in the side panels on to the base – you really DO need 2 or 3…
